Passionate. Creative. Scholarly. I love love because God is love. I am whimsical and serious. I am practical and spiritual. Actually, to me, there is no difference. Practical because life is messy. Spiritual because I need God, a higher power, to help me sort out and through the messiness. I’ve earned a Master of Divinity from Princeton University (2023), a doctoral degree in English literature from St. John’s University (2019), and a Master of Fine Arts from Manhattanville College (2016). I received my certificate for spiritual direction training from Oasis Spiritual Ministries (2023). I am a member of Spiritual Direction International and small group leader of Shalem Institute and Contemplative Center of Leadership at Princeton Theological Seminary. My research interest is Black life writing, diary writing, Christian mysticism.
